About
A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and coach who has lived a good deal of life. I'm so glad you're here.
I've been married to my husband for 44 years, raised three sons, and these days I have the joy of being Grandma to six grandchildren. I am also a sister, aunt and friend, relationships that have shaped who I am and how I care for people. Over the years we've moved house eleven times and lived in several states, including through my husband's years of service in the RAAF. Wherever we've landed I've led in my church and helped build community, and somewhere along the way I learned a simple truth: to have a friend, you have to be a friend.
I grew up without a lot. Money was often tight and meals were sometimes very simple, yet we never truly went without. Every so often, groceries would quietly appear on our doorstep. That season gave me gratitude, resourcefulness, and an early lesson that people are tougher than they think they are.
Life since has held its share of hard seasons. I've walked through grief and loss, through financial hardship that tested our resilience deeply, through a knock to my confidence that took real time to rebuild, and through the tender work of caring for my ageing parents. None of it was wasted. Each season taught me something I now carry into coaching: that people need people, that trust is built slowly, that healing is possible, and that we are made for tough stuff and made for more.
I'll gladly share what those seasons taught me. The details I hold more gently, the way I will always hold yours.
Retirement, for me, hasn't meant stopping. It's meant creating space. Space to invest more intentionally in relationships and community, and to walk beside people as they rediscover who they are and find their next step.
That's why I coach. Not to hand you answers, but to help you find your own.
Founder and coach, Purpose Pulse Coaching
My approach is relational first. Before anything else, I want you to feel safe, heard and unhurried. I listen carefully, build trust slowly, and ask thoughtful questions rather than offering quick advice, so that what is true for you can come into view, along with the courage to act on it.
Coaching with me isn't counselling, therapy or mentoring. It's a space to discover your own solutions and take ownership of your next step.
I'm a Christian, and my faith shapes how I see people, how I listen and how I coach. My goal is never to preach, but to help you discover purpose, clarity and your next step. You don't need to share my faith to be completely welcome here. Whoever you are, you'll be met with warmth, respect and no agenda but your own good.
The values I try to live by are integrity, respect, authenticity, compassion, faith and accountability. In practice, that comes down to a few simple things. You'll be heard, valued and supported. You won't be judged, shamed or rushed. And you'll leave our conversations clearer about your next step.
My son, Will, also coaches under Purpose Pulse Coaching, working with people from all walks of life. Whoever you meet with, the heart of this work stays the same: relationship first, honest conversation, and walking beside you as you find your way forward.
Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here. Let's have a conversation.
